Accepting these terms

These terms cover your use of the Quality Lake Charles Concrete & Masonry website and any work you hire us to do. When you browse the site, call us, send the contact form or sign off on an estimate, you're agreeing to them, so please read them before you book.

If a written estimate or contract for your job says something different from this page, the written estimate or contract wins for that job.

What we do

We're a masonry contractor in Lake Charles, LA, and we also handle concrete work. That includes foundation repair, chimney and brick repair, tuckpointing, pavers, retaining walls, block walls, stone veneer, outdoor kitchens and walkways. The home page lists every service and the cities with their own page, and we work in other cities around them too.

What's on this website is general information about the trade. It isn't advice for your particular house, because we can't judge a wall, a chimney or a slab until we've seen it in person.

We're licensed and fully insured. You can read more about our crew and how we work on our about page.

Estimates and pricing

Estimates are free, done in person and carry no obligation. Your estimate covers the work we can see and measure that day, along with the materials and the scope we've agreed on with you.

Masonry and concrete jobs sometimes turn up problems that stay hidden until the work is opened up, like rotted framing behind brick, failed footings or old buried concrete. When that happens, we stop and explain what we found and what it changes, and we don't do the extra work or bill for it until you approve it.

An estimate stays good for the period written on it. After that, prices for material and labor can change, so we may need to update it before we schedule.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We schedule your job once you've accepted the estimate. Rain, high heat, cold snaps and storms all affect how mortar and concrete cure, so when the weather won't let us do the work right, we move the date and tell you as soon as we know.

Material delays, permit timing and the time it takes the city or parish to sign off can also shift the schedule. We'll keep you updated, but we can't promise a finish date we don't control.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us at (337) 502-4212 as early as you can. When we've already ordered special materials or started the work, you may owe for those materials and for any work already finished, as your written estimate or contract spells out.

Paying for the work

Your written estimate or contract gives the payment schedule for your job, including any deposit and when the balance is due. Please pay by the dates it lists.

If a payment is late, we may pause the work until the account is current. Material we've delivered and work we've finished are still owed even if the job stops partway through.

Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover

Our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something we built or repaired isn't right, call us and we'll come back out to look at it.

The guarantee covers our workmanship. It doesn't cover damage from things outside our control, such as soil settling or shifting, flooding, storms, tree roots, vehicles too heavy for the surface, other contractors' work, or changes and repairs someone else makes later. Natural variation in brick, stone and concrete color, plus small hairline cracks in concrete, are a normal part of these materials and aren't defects.

Products we install carry their maker's warranty, if they have one, and that warranty comes from the maker, not from us. Beyond our satisfaction guarantee and anything written in your contract, we don't make other promises or warranties about our work or this website, to the extent the law allows.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we're responsible only for direct damage caused by our own work, up to the amount you paid us for the job. We aren't liable for indirect losses such as lost income, lost use of your property or the cost of staying somewhere else.

Before we start, please tell us about anything that could affect the job, like buried lines, sprinklers, septic systems or property line questions. We can't be held responsible for damage to hidden items nobody told us about.

If we disagree about something

If you're unhappy with any part of the job, call us first. Most problems get sorted out quickly once we're back on site and can look at it together.

If we can't settle it that way, either of us can take the matter to the courts serving Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana.

Which state's law applies

These terms and any work we do fall under the laws of the State of Louisiana. That's true even when the job is outside Louisiana, unless the law where the work is done requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update this page from time to time, and the version posted here is the one in effect. Changes won't alter the terms of a job you've already signed for.
